- Skilled Nursing Facilities provide 24 hours medical care in addition to custodial care. Residents may be long-term patients or temporarily for period of rehabilitation.
- ALF
- Assisted Living Facilities are used by people who are not able to live on their own, but do not need a continuous level of nursing care as do residents of a nursing home.
- Alz
- Alzheimer’s facilities are either SNFs or ALFs specializing in care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
